International Men's Day (observed 19 November each year) celebrates men and the value they bring to the world, their families and communities.
In Finland, 'Teemu' is the local form of a name like 'Steve' (see
2026.6.3
), depicted here in an appropriated surfing image from the 1960s.
The age of the image illustrates how men's physiques (and swimwear) have changed considerably since the sixties. If men and women's physiques alter through history - people have grown taller for example - there is clearly no one 'right way' for a body to look.
