LGBT+ identity - and especially trans identity - implies a certain kind of freedom, the freedom to invent yourself, and to live authentically and creatively in any walk of life.

The artwork appears in Latvian, one of the two oldest European languages. This is required by law but is also the artist's preferred strategy because it roots the work in the local language.

The LGBT+ community is always moving forwards, finding new ways to create, to live and to love. As LGBT+ rights are challenged or rolled back in some parts of the world, any celebration of alternative gender expressions is inherently political.
